Who We Are
AMWA-NY is one of 16 chapters of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).
AMWA-NY brings together a diverse community of medical communication professionals in our local area who write, edit, or develop materials about medicine and health for lay and professional audiences.
We host in-person and virtual events, including educational programs on topics of interest to the medical communication industry and social gatherings for fun and informal networking.

The AMWA-NY chapter covers New York state and the NYC metro area, including northern New Jersey, and southern Connecticut.

As the leading professional organization of medical writers and editors, AMWA’s mission is to promote excellence in medical communications and to provide education resources in support of this goal.
